Hell comes to your House part 2 - comp. LP

  • bemisbrain / enigma records. e 1049 / 14 tracks / 1983
  • Part 2 that shows LA’s obsession with roots rock and C&W at that time. Includes Blood on the Saddle (great fast country hardcore), Mau Maus (rocking punk rock, just OK), Cambridge Apostles (mediocre underground funk / disco), Tex and the Horseheads (good punk rock with strong C&W influences), Minutemen (fast country sound, nice), Screamin’ Sirens (one melodic punk song, one C&W song, good), and Lotus Lame (funk/rap, but still OK). Not as consistently great as the first volume, but quite interesting. [7]
  • Tracks: The Joneses - i’m bad / she’s so filthy / Mau Maus - sex girls in uniforms / we all fall down / Cambridge Apostles - can’t fight the feeling / Blood on the Saddle - i wish i was a single girl again / ghost on my heart // Tex and the Horseheads - short train / go west young man / slip away / Minutemen - corona / Screamin’ Sirens - your good girl’s gonna go bad / runnin’ kind / Lotus Lame and the Lame Flames - bad sex
