An SST CD called “H.R. - Tapes ‘84-‘86” compiles both this and the Keep Out Of Reach 12”.

First solo release by the ex-Bad Brains singer. A side and the last track are still solid hardcore; the voice is mixed too much to the front and sounds somewhat pushy and obtrusive, but apart from that this is comparable to I against I-era Bad Brains. B side has a slower, calmer guitar pop song and some reggae. If you don’t expect a second “Rock for Light” this is actually not bad. [7]

Erstes Solowerk des ex-Bad Brains-Sängers. Anders als bei den späteren Sachen wird hier zuweilen noch etwas deftiger hingelangt. Vor allem die A-Seite ist eigentlich noch “richtig” hardcorig; erinnert an die Bad Brains zu “I against I”-Zeiten, nur der aufdringliche Gesang nervt etwas. Auf der B-Seite wird’s dann etwas ruhiger, der Titelsong ist noch ganz gut, eingängiger Gitarrenpop. Die unvermeidliche (gemäßigte) Reggaenummer ist Happy Birthday, der letzte Song (live) ist dann noch mal ein echter HC-Fetzer. Teilweise etwas anstrengend, aber im Niveau fast noch mit den Bad Brains zu vergleichen.
