Great title track, probably the best song from their major label phase. All Work is OK, but not their best song. 7” has the LP version and a 4:08 edit of All Work on the B side. 12” has LP version of the title track, an extended 8:00 version of All Work (pretty boring, actually) and Helter Skelter, an exclusive cover version of the Rolling Stones song, it’s OK but not more. Die A-Seite ist allerbester Hüsker-Stoff, mit Sicherheit der beste Song aus der kommerziellen Spätphase; sehr poppige und eingängige Melodie, trotzdem hart und kraftvoll, im Sound vergleichbar dem früheren Hit ’Makes no Sense…’. Die B-Seite ist auch ganz nett, ein typischer Hüsker-Song, aber eben nur eine B-Seite ohne wirklichen Höhepunkt. Die 12” hat eine auf 8 Minuten aufgeblasene Version von All Work, das mir schon in der kurzen Fassung nicht besonders gefällt… zu nervig / wimmrig. Zum Abschluß noch eine Live-Version des guten alten Stones-Titels, nett aber nicht überragend. Insgesamt eher was für Fans.
