Even though the band was torn by internal conflict, they managed to pump out enough songs to fill a double LP - their final album. Apart from the surprisingly amateurish production (the drum sound is really bad) this is another excellent album with a good balance of Hart and Mould songs. Although everything sounds a bit routined, there are some great songs here. [8]

Auf ihrer letzten LP versuchen Hüsker Dü noch einmal, an die grandiose Tradition von Zen Arcade anzuknüpfen. Und es ist tatsächlich erstaunlich, wie gut und frisch auch diese Platte noch (trotz des Wechsels zur Industrie) klingt. Den hohen Standard der früheren Werke kann die Band freilich nicht halten, dazu ist die Musik doch zu eingefahren und routiniert. Warehouse ist strikt aufgeteilt in Bob-Mould- und Grant-Hart-Songs, von denen mir die ersteren durchweg besser gefallen, weil sie klarer, kraftvoller, melodischer und einfach mehr auf den Punkt gebracht sind. Grant Harts Songs sind zwar auch gut, haben aber immer einen etwas winseligen und nervigen Einschlag. Insgesamt aber eine gute und auf jeden Fall lohnende Platte zum Abschied.
