Fast, cynical and malicious punk from L.A., similar in attitude to early Angry Samoans, but even meaner and sicker. The music is similar, too, short, powerful and aggressive punk blasts, well-played & with some unusual guitar riffs. Lots of hits, sick provocative lyrics (“Can you see my disease overtake my perversion?”). [9]

Wenn die Angry Samoans jemals ernsthafte Konkurrenz hatten, dann die Hypnotics. Rasanter, bösartiger und zynischer Punk, der in seiner Härte und Schärfe viele HC-Bands überholt. Texte sind 100% provo, es geht um Nazis, Sadismus (“Can you see my disease overtake my perversion”) und alles was noch zu einer wirklich unausstehlichen Band gehört. Aber wie bei vielen US-Bands aus dieser Ecke sollte man das wohl eher unter “schlechten amerikanischen Humor” einordnen und das Ganze nicht bierernst nehmen. Musikalisch jedenfalls genial.
