Dark and gloomy hardcore featuring Lyz and Kevin from Antischism; like their later project Dotfuckingcom this definitely has some screamo influences, but it also sounds surprisingly like more metallic doom bands, say, early Isis or Kylesa - far ahead of their time, since this was recorded  in 1994. Good and powerful LP. [7]

Düsterer Hardcore mit Lyz und Kevin von Antischism; wie ihr späteres Projekt Dotfuckingcom klingen auch Initial State nach Screamo. Hier kommt allerdings ein guter Schuss Metal dazu, der dem Ganzen einen überraschenden Spin in Richtung metallischer Doombands wie Isis oder Kylesa gibt… lange vor diesen Bands. Interessante LP mit viel Power.
