Jesus Lizard im Doppelpack; trotz der Pure 12” als CD-Bonus nur 40 Minuten, also normale LP-Spielzeit. Dafür gibt es Lizards satt, abgedreht, nervös, wuchtig hämmert sich die Band durch ihre Tracks und kreiert einen Sound, der zu einem Drittel aus Big Black und zu 2/3 aus Jesus Lizard besteht. Wenn der Produzent dann noch Steve Albini heißt, dann gefällt das extrem gut! (KS)
