Happy Squid’s answer to the New Alliance comps (Cracks in the Sidewalk, Chunks), a blend of punk and more experimental stuff. A side has mainly punk stuff, highlights are Gun Club, Meat Puppets (a great chaotic early song), and S Squad (beautiful avantgarde pop). B side highlights include Leaving Trains (good punk with an organ) and 100 Flowers (noisy LA punk). Lots of diversity, and no real letdowns. [7]

Eine Art Happy-Squid-Äquivalent zu den New-Alliance-Samplern (Chunks und Cracks…); Punk und Experimentelleres bunt gemischt (hier ist allerdings der Punk-Anteil größer). Auf der A-Seite geht es ziemlich punkig zu, Höhepunkte sind Gun Club, Meat Puppets (hier noch mit ihrem chaotischen frühen Sound) und S Squad (schöner Avantgarde-Pop). Auf der B-Seite gewinnen Leaving Trains (guter Punk mit Orgel) und 100 Flowers (krachiger LA-Punk). Gute, abwechslungsreiche Platte ohne größere Ausfälle.
