Kilara / Hellchild - righteousness is immortal  split 10"/CD5

  • rhetoric. 52 / 5 tracks / 1998
  • 1000 made of the 10”, 100 on white. 85 numbered copies have an alternate sleeve. 2x 1000 made of the CD, first batch has wrong Hellchild track listing.
  • Hellchild (from Japan) play hardcore which is firmly rooted in black metal and grindcore. All three songs are moderately-paced (so, no Discordance-Axis-style insanity), but the music is powerful and gloomy. Kilara (from Virginia) are somewhat inconsistent, there’s one acoustic ballad, a black metal (Venom) cover version, and a rock/metal song, all of which don’t really work for me. [6]
  • Dreimal finsterer Metalcore von Hellchild aus Japan; das Tempo ist durchweg gemäßigt, trotzdem hat das Power und Klasse. In Ordnung. Kilara haben eine Akustik-Ballade, eine Black-Metal-Coverversion und einen Rock/Metal-Song, aber alles nicht wirklich umwerfend.
  • Tracks: Kilara - love & loathing / s.m.r. / 7 minutes // Hellchild - soul of purity / single color of myself / witching hour
