A lot closer to their idols Hüsker Dü and Dinosaur Jr; calmer, more mature and less noisy than their previous records. This is still good and original music, though, beautiful, melodic and slightly melancholic. Lots of hits, and the acoustic “Home is…”, a Charles Manson cover version, is definitely a highlight. Die Band ist hier schon weitaus näher an den Vorbildern Dinosaur und Hüsker Dü, etwas ruhiger, reifer und weniger krachig. Trotz aller Reminiszenzen eigenständige Musik; schön, melodisch und etwas melancholisch. Ein Highlight ist Home is…, eine Akustiknummer von Evan Dandos größtem Idol (?), ist aber wirklich ein toller Song. Auch sonst eigentlich nur Hits, gefällt mir sehr gut.
