In 1993 the quality of the legendary singles club went down radically, and so did the number of subscribers. So finally, the label decided to save us and stop the whole thing. This was the final installment (until they started again a few years later). Lou Barlow is even more minimalistic here than he usually is; not much more than voice and acoustic guitar. A bit too simple sometimes (like the title track), but magically beautiful (like most of the B side). [8]

Als den Sub-Pop-Leuten im Singleclub so langsam die Puste ausging, die Kapellen auf den Singles immer obskurer und die Abonnenten immer weniger wurden, hatte das Label endlich ein Einsehen und schmiß vorerst das Handtuch (ein paar Jahre später ging’s ja dann weiter…). Den wenigen treuen Kunden, die bis zum Ende ausgeharrt hatten, flatterte dann diese Single ins Haus. Lou Barlow gibt sich hier noch spröder und minimaler als er sonst schon ist; kaum mehr als Stimme und Akustikgitarre. Das wirkt - wie auf dem Titeltrack - manchmal etwas zu einfach, manchmal aber auch sehr schön. In jedem Fall eine gute Single.
