Melodic and calm emo blended with ultra-violent hardcore; the two singers scream their lungs out. The last two tracks are rather uninspiring synth stuff. Still, this is one of the best screamo records, and one of the best releases of 2000. [9]  

Die Verbindung von wildem Geschrei und Emocore nennt man gemeinhin Screamo, aber so gekonnt wie Love Lost kriegen diese Mischung nur wenige hin. Sehr ruhige und melodische Passagen wechseln sich mit ultrahartem Gehacke ab; und die beiden Sänger stellen mit ihren Stimmbändern Dinge an, die man nicht glauben mag. Ein weiterer Höhepunkt im an guten Platten bestimmt nicht armen Jahr 2000.
