+ lyric sheet. My copy has drawings inside the sleeve. No connection to the California band L-7. Feat. Larissa Strickland on vocals (later in the Laughing Hyenas).

First and only release on T&G’s sub label that was started to present some of the more experimental midwest bands. L-Seven from Detroit have a di­stinct guitar sound which reminds me of some of the angular UK guitar/post punk bands; but there’s still quite a bit of the punk spirit, especially on the B side. I guess Sub Pop would have been happy to get a band like them in the 90s. [7]  

Erste und einzige Veröffentlichung auf T&Gs spezieller Special Forces Serie, die schrägere Bands präsentieren sollte als das hardcorige Stammlabel. L-Seven (die übrigens nichts mit den jüngeren L-7 zu tun haben) klingen ein wenig wie eine der verwirrten englischen Gitarrenbands, haben aber trotzdem noch eine deutliche Punk-Kante. Vor allem die B-Seite hat noch schön knallige Gitarrenparts, die allerdings durch abgedrehtere Parts unter­brochen werden. Die Zeit war wohl damals noch nicht reif für Bands wie diese, 10 Jahre später hätte Sub Pop sie mit offenen Armen aufgenommen.
