Minor Threat - filler 7"

  • dischord records. 3 / 8 tracks / jun 1981
  • 5000 made in total. + lyric sheet. #1 - First pressing with red sleeve, yellow labels, 1000 made. Test pressings with generic yellow United test press labels, no sleeve. #2 - Yellow sleeve, light blue labels, 1000 made. #3 - Green sleeve and silver labels, 1000 made. #4 - Blue sleeve and silver labels, no “putting DC…” slogan on the labels, 2000 made. Sleeve photo shows Alec MacKaye asleep on the steps to Wilson Center during the first hardcore show there.
  • The labels say ’Putting DC on the map’, and that's exactly what Minor Threat did with their debut 7”. Angry, dedicated, youthful hardcore that set new standards in the young hardcore scene of 1981. The recording may sound a bit thin by today's standards, but that's not important. The songwriting is top notch, and tracks like Filler, Straight Edge or Small Man, Big Mouth are perennial hardcore classics. [9]
  • Tracks: filler / i don’t wanna hear it / seeing red / straight edge // small man, big mouth / screaming at a wall / bottled violence / minor threat
