SST conducted a poll among Minutemen fans after D Boon's death, and compiled this “best of” double LP from the most requested songs. Most of these are not the original versions, though, but unreleased live and demo recordings (sound quality is mostly good to excellent) along with 3 tracks from previously released records. Cool idea, good collection. [8]  

So wie ich das verstanden hat, hat damals SST dazu aufgerufen, eine Liste mit Minutemen-Lieblingssongs einzuschicken; daraus wurden dann die All-Time-Top-30 zusammengestellt. Bei den meisten Songs gab es unveröffentlichte Live- oder Demo-Versionen, die verwendet werden konnten, nur 3 Songs wurden von den jeweiligen Platten genommen. Die Spannbreite ist sehr groß, reicht von den hektischen, frühen Songs über die rhythmischen, funkigen Sachen bis hin zu den eher melodischen Punktracks. Ein schöner Überblick über das Werk einer der innovativsten und verkanntesten Bands…
