First Minutemen demos with the first drummer Frank Tonche; George Hurley replaced him two months later for the recording of the Paranoid Time EP (hence the title of this EP). Four unreleased gems which are a bit straighter and more punk influenced than the later recordings, but already have that special extra; plus the earliest version of “Mc Carthy’s Ghost”. A must have for Minutemen fans despite the somewhat trashy sound quality; others might enjoy, too. [8]  

Die allerersten Minutemen-Demos vom Frühjahr 1980, noch mit dem alten Drummer Frank Tonche. Die Songs sind - außer dem letzten - unveröffentlicht, was auch die etwas müllige Soundqualität verschmerzen läßt. Noch etwas punkiger und geradliniger als die späteren, manchmal sehr sperrigen Platten, aber schon hier mit dem gewissen Etwas. Gute Platte und für Minutemen-Fans sowieso ein Pflichtkauf.
