The first post-Glenn album. It’s a philosophical question whether the Misfits minus Glenn are still the Misfits, but this is something you have to decide for yourself. Personally I think that, without their major songwriter and singer, they should have made a clear cut and started with a new band name. Michale Graves is doing a great job as a singer, though, his style is similar to Glenn, but he is not just a Danzig impersonator. He does not have the full vocal range and expression of Glenn, but oh well, I will just stop comparing. He is good, OK? The music still is the noisy, powerful and melodic horror hardcore punk we all loved the old Misfits for, only slightly updated and with some slight Rock/Metal influence added. It never achieves the magic of the old songs, but it’s great, melodic and fun. No, these are not the old Misfits, but yes, this album is very enjoyable, much more than anything Danzig has done after Samhain. [8]

Es ist wohl eine philosophische Frage, ob man die Misfits ohne Glenn noch als Misfits bezeichnen soll, aber sei’s drum… Der neue Sänger macht seine Sache gut, er ist nahe am Glenn-Sound, ohne ein reines Abziehbild zu sein. Die Musik ist eine aktualisierte Version des krachig-melodischen Horror-Hardcore-Punks, den wir alle lieben, mit ein wenig mehr Rock/Metal-Einfluss. Nicht so magisch und kultig wie die alten Misfits, aber auf jeden Fall eine gute Platte - und in jedem Fall besser als alles, was Danzig nach Samhain abgeliefert hat.
