US pressings (“Earth AD” front cover): #1 - 10,000 on black vinyl, earliest copies with mis-colored (grey) hair on center ghoul’s head. 200 on purple (some with veins), 500 on gold/orange (some with darker orange swirls), 200 on clear (or light purple), 100 green (some with black swirls). #2 - Black vinyl only with additional Caroline logo on back sleeve. #3 - same as #2, but with a bar code on back sleeve. German pressings (full color “Wolfsblood” front cover plus two extra tracks from Die Die 12”): #1 - Two versions with black (more common) or silver labels. Official pressing number is 15,000, but there might be more, this was all over the place during the 80s. #2 - Green and orange colors on cover are switched. Also there’s a bar code on the back sleeve. CD versions: #1 - German pressing includes Evil Live tracks (but Mommy… from Die Die 12” is still missing). Modern Music is actually the same label as AGR. #2 - US gold CD version, 15,000 made. All US pressings include the 3 Die Die 12” tracks. #3 - Regular US CD with Plan 9 logo on CD and booklet, 886 made. #4 - Regular pressing without Plan 9 logo. Very few copies have a blue cover because of a printing error.
Nearly all songs on this are played in the Misfits hardcore mode; some good tracks, but the rest is just fast speedcore with shouted vocals that kill Glenn’s fine voice. Great hardcore, but not up to the Misfits standard. It’s amazing that their weakest studio record is still one of the best hardcore records ever. [8]
Tracks: earth a.d. / queen wasp / devilock / death comes ripping / green hell // wolfsblood / demonomania / bloodfeast / hellhound (German version: / die die my darling / we bite)
