First pressing: 25 made on black vinyl. These were not test pressings, but an “emergency” pressing for an upcoming show with the Damned. Most of these copies were distributed in large, black, white, and purple Crimson Ghost envelopes with a biography and band photograph. Some black vinyl copies were later sold among collectors using sleeves from the yellow vinyl pressing or the alternate sleeve (Info from [
MB]). Regular press: 2000 made, all are on gold vinyl. About 20 made with double A side labels. + insert sheet with some copies. There’s a first sleeve that has a different back cover with a group photo. The black printing didn’t come out too well so Glenn Danzig did a new one. This is a real printed sleeve, no xerox or cheap “gatefold” paper. This first sleeve was not sold originally with a record inside. 2000 of this sleeve version were printed, most were either destroyed or cut in half so the front half could be used as a promo sheet. About 20-30 uncut, unfolded sleeves survived, plus around 100 of the cut version; most of them were later sold by Bobby Steele and Barry Henssler (Necros). Trivia: The story on the insert (about the abandoned house) is not true of course. Bootlegs: #1 - red vinyl. #2 - black vinyl with repro insert.
