EU: no label. hr 012 / 7 tracks / 2003 (?) (bootleg)

As you will have guessed from the title, these are demos for the Famous Monsters LP. All songs are also on the official LP, but these versions here are faster, noisier and more on the hardcore side, and I have to say that I like this sound a LOT better, especially because Michale’s voice isn’t mixed to the background like on the official LP. The last song is from a 2001 demo with Michale singing, great powerful and melodic stuff again. Excellent sound quality for a bootleg, although you can tell that this has not been cut from the master tapes. Great record that just leaves me wishing there were more songs from that session. [8]

Wie der Name schon sagt, Demos zur Famous Monsters LP. Die sechs Songs sind auch auf der regulären LP zu finden, diese Versionen hier sind allerdings schneller, krachiger und hardcoriger - gefällt mir viel besser; auch die Stimme ist nicht so weit in den Hintergrund gemixt. Als Bonus gibt es noch einen 2001er-Demosong von Sänger Michale Graves - im ähnlichen Stil, sehr kraftvoll und melodisch. Für einen Bootleg ist der Sound exzellent, im Vergleich zu den offiziellen Platten muss man natürlich Abstriche machen. Tolle Platte.
