After Amuck and This is Phoenix… this is the third Phoenix compilation on Placebo. Notable tracks by JFA (another surf punk instrumental with organ, nice), Mighty Sphincter (weirdo punk in the vein of their 1985 mLP), Zany Guys (good hardcore version of the old classic), Joke Flowers and Keening (both play goth punk, Keening being the better band), Dirt Clods (hardcore with strong rock influence, OK) and Bootbeast Carnival (early noise rock); plus the usual assortment of metal and rock (Harvest, Hellfire, Domino Theory), industrial (Maybe Mental), blues (Racer X) and some unclassifiable songs. It's a grab bag, and except for JFA and Zany Guys there's nothing that I really liked. [6]

Der dritte Phoenix-Sampler auf Placebo; die beiden einzigen wirklich guten Songs kommen von JFA (nettes Surfpunk-Instrumental mit Orgel) und Zany Guys (gute Hardcore-Version des alten Hits). Mighty Sphincter und Sun City Girls sind auch noch OK, der Rest ist dann eine bunte Mischung aus eher uninteressantem Rock, Metal, Gothpunk, Industrial, Noiserock und Blues.
