Limited Australian “Fudge Pack”; record on brown vinyl in white cloth bag with either red, green or black (most common) artwork plus poster; Aussie reissue on clear brown (but without the extras).

“Back to the roots” again - simple (but great!) production, straight and powerful grunge rock. Very good. [8]  

Mudhoney beweisen bei der allgemeinen Euphorie um riesige Studios, klaren Klang und teure Produktion Courage und nehmen ihre neue LP einfach in einem 8-Spur-Mini-Studio auf; was dabei herauskommt, kann sich hören lassen, schließlich kommt es bei dieser Musik nicht auf guten Klang, sondern auf “guts” an, das, was beim Hören bzw. Spielen im Bauch passiert. Die Musik ist einfach, ehrlich, direkt; Grunge Rock im ursprünglichen Sinn, eingängig, aber nicht poppig. Der Ausflug “back to the roots” hat sich mit Sicherheit gelohnt… gute Platte.
