My god, finally. I love Dischord for releasing this demo, but why on earth did it take them 13 years? If this had been released in 1986 when it was recorded, OLW would reside in Emocore Walhalla along with Dag Nasty and Rites of Spring. Anyway, this is the missing link between Rain and Rites of Spring; beautiful “emotional” hardcore, as good as anything that came out of DC in the magic years of 1985/86, if not better. [10]  

Daß ich das noch erleben darf… das One Last Wish Demo endlich auf CD. Auf der einen Seite müssen wir Dischord auf Knien dafür danken, auf der anderen Seite finde ich es ärgerlich, daß erst 13 Jahre vergehen müssen, denn man nimmt der Band so den Platz in der Punk-Geschichte, den sie sicher verdient hätte. One Last Wish entstanden 1986, in der magischen Zeit, als auch Rites of Spring, Three, Rain oder Dag Nasty anfingen, den DC-Hardcore neu zu definieren. Sie sind sowas wie der “Missing Link” zwischen all diesen Bands, und keinen Deut schlechter als die anderen, die man heute als Klassiker behandelt.
