I guess nobody expected punk or even hardcore at this point of the Singles Club, and Pedro the Lion are even quieter here than on their other releases. A side has a calm emo guitar pop song (but quite nice actually), and they go all chamber pop on side B, with piano and cello. This is a bit too much, even for me. [6]

Punk oder gar Hardcore erwartete zu diesem Zeitpunkt wohl keiner mehr vom Sub-Pop-Club, und auch Pedro the Lion scheren sich nicht um irgendwelche Rock-Erwartungen. Auf der A-Seite ein sehr ruhiger (aber schöner) Emo-Gitarrenpop-Song; auf der B-Seite dann der Emo-Overkill mit Klavier und Cello. Das ist sogar mir ein bisschen zuviel.
