I liked their first LP, but this one is so close to the Bad Religion sound that it’s almost embarrassing. A little faster, but that’s it. Their German press info announced them as “not just another Bad Religion clone”, but that's exactly what they are. I’d rather get the real thing. [6]  

Die erste Pennywise-LP hat mir eigentlich recht gut gefallen; hier wurde allerdings der erfrischende Sound der Band vom Produzenten völlig glattgebügelt. Auch wenn das Presseinfo die Überschrift “Keine Bad-Religion-Clones” hat, so sind sie ganz genau das: ein fast schon peinliches Plagiat der Labelkollegen. Ein bißchen schneller, ein bißchen lockerer, aber sonst ganz einfach unoriginell.
