One of the last Singles Club 7”s. “Empathy” feat. Michael Gira on vocals and Algis Kiyzs on bass (both of The Swans), nice Sitar sounds plus the typical Swans “new age” feeling… “Steamroller” is a real noise rock killer, with distortion on ALL instruments (vocals, too). Great single. [8]  

Die drittletzte Sub-Pop-Club-Single. “Empathy” wird vor allem durch die beiden Swans-Mitglieder geprägt: fernöstliches Sitar-Geschrammel, dazu Giras unverkennbare Stimme und der typische Swans-Bass… sehr nett, fast ein bißchen New-Age-mäßig. Die B-Seite ist um einiges krachiger, richtig abgefahrener Noise-Rock, bei dem wirklich alles verzerrt ist, Gitarre, Bass, Drums, Stimme… Coole Single.
