#1 - USA pressings: Original with lyric sheet. 2000 LP reissue on 180 gram vinyl. 2005 LP reissue on red vinyl. Rhino CD reissue is remastered and has additional tracks. Also on 8-track cartridge. #2 - European pressings: Limited UK edition on yellow vinyl. Most European versions have a printed inner sleeve; Spanish version has an insert. A later (90s??) UK reissue as a picture disc. #3 - Others: Canadian version has printed inner sleeve. Canadian mispressing with Stooges label on A side. Japanese version has Obi.

Only 12 songs on their fourth LP (down from 14 on their previous 3 LPs), which shows that something has changed. Only half of the songs are of the fast and stupid kind, the others are slower, longer, more rock influenced punk songs, or ballads (gasp!). Of course this is another classic, and there are some unforgettable songs here, but compared to the first three albums, it's slightly less important. [9]

(KS) Dass es hier nur 12 statt 14 Songs gibt, zeigt schon, dass sich etwas geändert hat. Die Songs sind länger, etwas rockiger, und die Hälfte der Tracks ist deutlich langsamer als zuvor, bis hin zu echten Balladen. Trotzdem wieder jede Menge großartiger Songs, und definitiv ein weiterer Klassiker, nur eben nicht ganz so genial wie die ersten drei LPs. (bj)
