posh boy. pbs 140 / 17 tracks / 1982

+ info fanzine (Flipside 35). First 5000 copies without the Vandals song, next 5000 have the song on the record but not listed on the sleeve.

More hardcore this time (esp. on the A side), but the Posh Boy production even makes Ill Repute or JFA sound like LA punk bands… well, almost. Then there's some great melodic punk hits and some good non-punk tunes (most of the B side - including a pre-major label Bangles track). Not as good as the other two comps, but still very good. [7]  

Inzwischen hat Rodney auch den Hardcore entdeckt, und so geht es hier (v.a. auf der ersten Seite) z.T. etwas derber ab; allerdings klingen durch den Posh-Boy-Mix sogar ausgessprochene HC-Bands wie Ill Repute oder JFA fast wie LA-Punk-Bands; Anson­sten gibt es wieder massig gute, kraftvolle und melodische Musik. Auf der B-Seite wieder hauptsächlich ’andere’ Musik, mit dabei übrigens die Bangles, die hier noch etwas anders zur Sache gehen. Insgesamt nicht ganz so hit-mäßig wie die anderen beiden Rod­neys, aber immer noch ein sehr guter Sampler.
