Sado Nation - we’re not equal LP

  • brainstem records. 1001 / 12 tracks / 1982
  • John Shirley (famous SciFi writer) was the band's vocalist for a while, but he can only be heard on the track on the “10-29-79” comp. The LP features two tracks co-written by him, Johnny Paranoid and Industrial Revolution.
  • For their LP, the Portland band dropped the cool and catchy punk rock of their 7” and went for a more generic, mid-tempo to fast hardcore sound. The songs are a little simple, but still powerful & diverse enough to be interesting. It's a shame that the female singer handles all the vocal duties now, though, her voice was great on the 7” but for this kind of music it's a bit too thin. Well, all things considered, it's still a good record. [7]
  • Tracks: messed up mixed up / armageddon / we’re not equal / don’t bother me / nuke up now // on the wall / fight back / industrial revolution / politics & passion / cut off the cord / no use / johnny paranoid
