Lots of boring rock/c&w/blues stuff on this early LA compilation; notable tracks by Vom (noisy pre-Samoans), Dils (great melodic punk), Chainsaw (title track of their KBD single), Dogs (B side of their first 7”) and the Hebe Geebees (cool cover version). Not too interesting, all in all, since the better songs are not exclusive. [5]  

Macht deutlich, wie man damals mit der Punkwelle ne schnelle Mark machen wollte: hauptsächlich irgendwelche Blues/C+W/Rock-Clowns, die wohl sonst nicht zum Zuge gekommen wären, und sich hier das Schildchen New Wave umhängen. Manche Songs gehen sogar ins Ohr, aber mit Punk hat das herzlich wenig zu tun. Ansonsten mit ordentlichen Tracks von Vom (pre-Angry-Samoans, krachig), Dils (toller, melodischer Song), und der ultimativen Saturday-Night-Fever-Version. Sehr gut bis sehr schlecht.
