UK: domino. rug 80 / 3 tracks / 1999

A side has a remix which is a bit more “monumental” than the version on “The Sebadoh”, OK but not really important. B side has the same track in a 4 track demo version - just as nice, proves that it's all still about harmonies and melodies for this band, no matter what studio gimmicks are used. Sweet Surrender is a somewhat experimental take on the John Denver song, lots of effects… I dunno… it's OK but I am sure a lo-fi version with Lou + guitar would have been much nicer. Not too impressive. [6]

Auf der A-Seite ein etwas monumentaler Mix des Album-Tracks, naja, ganz nett, aber das Interessante bleiben Melodien und Harmonien, ob nun die Drums ein bißchen knalliger kommen oder nicht. Auf der B-Seite der gleiche Track noch mal in einer Demoversion, die eben gesagtes beweist. Dazu gibt es dann noch ein John Denver Cover, recht experimentell mit vielen Effekten… wäre nur mit Lous Stimme und Gitarre bestimmt interessanter geworden. Geht so.
