Steve Albini’s new band, that says it all (almost…). Harsh, loud and noisy, but more sophisticated and not as openly aggressive as Rapeman or Big Black anymore. This also shows how Albinis has evolved as a producer, excellent. Worth getting for the beautiful cardboard sleeve alone. [9]  

Albinis erste Band seit Rapeman, damit sollte damit die Richtung klar sein. Krachig und laut, aber nicht mehr ganz so aggressiv; man merkt schon, dass vieles an dieser Musik auf höchst kunstvolle und pingelige Weise “gebaut” ist (lest Euch nur mal die Studio-Ausrüstungsliste auf den Beiblättern zu den Shellac-Platten durch).
