No more simple power hardcore, no more militant hard edge lyrics. Slapshot try hard to be different and make their songs more interesting and diverse. Sometimes they succeed (as in the hypnotic Wired), sometimes they don’t (cheap vocal samples in Blast Furnace), but it’s a step forward anyway, and despite everything, the music is still tough and powerful. In jeder Hinsicht gemäßigter; weg von den 100%-SE-Texten, weg vom simplen Haudrauf-HC. Die Band bemüht sich redlich, auch etwas experimentellere Ele­mente in die Musik aufzunehmen, was manchmal durchaus interessant ist (Wired), manchmal aber auch peinlich wirkt (wie die schlechten Stimm-Samples beim Titelsong). Die legendäre Slapshot-Power schimmert trotz allem überall durch.
