Like their first LP, this second album came out after a long long delay. These are the two demos recorded in January 1985 and January 1986; smart and witty pop punk again, but now focused on pop rather than punk. A side (1985) has distorted guitars, an organ, and the better songs (My Girl Gloria, Happy or Appraising Personalities are all wacky hits), the B side is even more on the pop side and not as weird. A must-have for DC fans. [9]  

Fünf Jahre habe habe ich darauf gewartet, daß sich jemand erbarmt und das 85er-Demo von den Snakes auf Platte bringt… Die Helden von Adult Swim haben die Großtat endlich vollbracht. OK, es ist nicht direkt Hardcore, eher geniale Popmusik mit etwas Fuzzgitarre, auch eine E-Orgel darf mitsummen, dafür gibt es die besten Melodien, fantastische zweistimmige Gesangssätze, und endlich mal wieder Songs mit Witz, Herz und Aussage. Appraising Personalities ist zudem ein Hit, und was für einer. Das 86er-Demo (auf der B-Seite) ist noch poppiger und nicht ganz so schräg-genial, trotzdem toll. Auf der CD gibt es auch noch die erste LP als Bonus, was wollt Ihr denn noch??
