edge city. 79 x 47 / 3 tracks / 1977 (1979?)
Fast-paced, snotty, cynical punk with a great aggressive guitar sound, similar to The Lewd; remarkably close to hardcore punk, considering this was released in 1977 (The Lewd actually claimed in an interview that it was released in 1979 which would explain the “progressive” sound). B side has some experimental “industrial meets space punk” guitar noise, not a real song but kind of interesting. The Snots were a “sister band” of the Lewd; both were formed from the ashes of the previous Knobs (and the Snots' Drake Eubank played drums in the first lineup of the Lewd). More trivia: the Snots' Jeff Gossard is a cousin to Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard. [8]
Tolle EP.
