Their second album was released after an extended break (due to Mike Ness’ heroin addiction and various run-ins with the law). They returned with quite a different style; still based on melodic punk, but with a strong roots rock/C&W influence, in a rough Johnny Cash way. Not bad at all. (TB/bj) [7]  

An den kalifornischen Veteranen geht die Zeit natürlich auch nicht ganz spurlos vorüber; die Musik ist jetzt wesentlich rockiger und gesetzter als früher. Ähnlich wie die Adolescents versuchen sie es jetzt mit mehr Rock und einer gehörigen Portion Country, was ihnen insgesamt auch ganz gut gelingt. (TB)
