Slower than the previous releases; emotional post-hardcore, post-striaght edge rock. Good songs, though, better than on their debut LP. What the band still needs is a hit songwriter; they’re good, but they could be great with more tracks in the vein of Optimist Club or Synchronicity. [7]  

Auf der zweiten LP läßt man alles etwas geruhsamer angehen; außer bei einem Song (Thanks for the Cash) bleibt man im kontrollierten Rock-Tempo. Langsam scheinen Sticks & Stones auch zu ihrem Stil zu finden; obwohl sich die Band noch immer bei einigen Songs verzettelt, gefällt mir diese LP in jedem Fall besser als die erste, und Stücke wie der Titeltrack sind Grund zur Hoffnung: komplexer, emotionaler Post-HC-Rock. Was aus dieser Band mit einem begnadeten Songwriter werden könnte, zeigt die Coverversion “Synchronicity”: mehr Songs dieser Art aus eigener Feder, und die Hit-LP ist da.
