Their debut LP; still not up to their great first EP, but better than their recent records. Powerful & well produced melodic/melancholic hardcore à la Jawbreaker. Too bad they’ve lost their songwriting skills somewhere along the way. Most of this is good, but nothing is truly exciting - except for “Saved”, but that song was on their debut 7” with twice the speed and three times the passion. [7]

Die erste LP der New Yorker; gut produzierter, kraftvoller und melodisch/melancholischer HC im Sinne von Bands wie Jawbreaker. Obwohl die Jungs leider wieder nicht an die geniale erste EP herankommen, ist das schon ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung; in jedem Fall besser als die letzten 7”s. Was allerdings fehlt, ist ein ausgereiftes Songwriting; die Songs gehen nicht richtig ins Ohr, man wartet auf die Zündung, die nicht kommt… Einzige Ausnahme ist Saved - aber das war schon auf der Debut-7”, und zwar mit doppelter Geschwindigkeit und dreifacher Power.
