Incredible album by Hüsker Dü mastermind Bob Mould & his new band. Super catchy, guitar driven post pop core, tighter and rougher again than Mould’s solo efforts. Nearly all songs are hits, and even though this (of course) is less ground-breaking than Hüsker Dü, it's definitely a classic. [9]  

In den traurigen Post-Hüsker Dü-Jahren haben wir im Grunde unseres Herzens doch immer eines gewußt: Hart solo, Mould solo, Nova Mob - das kann doch nicht alles gewesen sein. Und richtig: Mould, schon immer die bessere Song­writer-Hälfte, liefert mit seiner neuen Band Sugar ein Album ab, das von der ersten bis zur letzten Note immerzu nur “Klassiker” schreit. Sugar machen Mu­sik, die so anrührend und gefühlvoll ist wie HD zur Glanzzeit, zudem aber kom­pakter, flotter, poppiger. Jeder Song ein Hit, kein Ausfall. Der letzte große Postcore-Klassiker der Acht­ziger.
