The Misfits sold their original label name “Blank” to Phonogram for several studio hours (the “Static Age” sessions). CD reissue has no bonus tracks.

After two bluesy 7”s, their first LP is “real” punk rock with only slight rock/blues influences. Smart, original music, fast and quirky - some tracks have a slight Dickies touch. Great melodic and intellectual punk. [8]  

Nach den 2 Singles hier endlich eine ’richtige’ Punk-Rock-LP, mit nur noch minimalen Rock/Blues-Einfluß, der vorher noch recht stark war. Sehr schöner, einfallsreicher und unheimlich wendiger und quirliger Punk, der manchmal fast an die Dickies erinnert; wie viele Bands aus Minneapolis hat auch diese einen etwas intellektuellen Touch, was hier aber nicht gekünstelt ’artsy’ oder arrogant klingt, sondern einfach sehr erfrischend und abwechslungsreich. Toll!
