Blue vinyl (all?). Feat. Mondo and Thee Slayer Hippie (ex-Poison Idea).

Two cover versions, music is almost the same as the original’s, no punk, no noise, no indie. Different lyrics, though, to sell this as “parody”. Ha ha. Elvis did a lot better than this Jim Goad guy, and I hate the SWAT theme anyway, AND the two tracks are from an “upcoming album”, so this is definitely a record to miss. [2]  

Eine etwas undurchsichtige Sache: Mondo und Thee Slayer Hippie von Poison Idea tun sich mit einigen Fanzinern zusammen und nehmen zwei Coverversionen auf. Bei beiden Songs wurde versucht, musikalisch möglichst nah am Original zu bleiben(!), also nix Punk, nix Noise, nix Indie. Nur der Text wurde geändert, aber das rettet nicht mehr viel, denn Elvis singt einfach vieeel besser, und Swat hat mir schon im Original nicht gefallen. Drittens und letztens sind beide Tracks von der “forthcoming” LP, so daß der Sinn dieser Single völlig im Dunkeln bleibt…
