1993 was a time where you could still make some bucks with college radio/MTV compatible indie rock, so Taang took the chance. The Swirlies have changed from a noisy guitar rock outfit to a more marketable, tamer indie band, with noisy guitars, sqeaky female singer and nice melodies. I don’t like the concept, but the music is actually very nice. If you’re into the K/DC/Teen Beat sound you’ll like it, too. [7]

Als man mit dem etwas verqueren Pop/Punk-Sound gewisser “K”/DC/Teen-Beat-Bands ein bißchen Kohle machen konnte, durfte auch Taang nicht fehlen. Swirlies ist die Band, die von den Bostonern ins Rennen geworfen wird, und sie machen ihre Sache sehr gut, schrubbelige Gitarren, ein paar hübsche Melodien, piepsige Sängerin. Stinkt nach Rip-Off, aber die Musik ist trotzdem gut.
