It’s back to the roots for Dischord; release #100 by the same band that did #1. Track 1 is from a “basement tape” from 1979/80, the others are from the first two demo tapes from Feb/Apr 1980. Early hardcore that sounds fresh and angry even today; it’s amazing how in this earliest form of hardcore everything is already in place. Nice insert sheet with all Dischord sleeves in mini format plus cool liner notes by Ian and Jeff. Own a piece of hardcore history. [7]  

Zur 100. Veröffentlichung geht das Dischord-Label zurück zu den Wurzeln: Ganz frühe Tracks der Band, die die Musik zu Dischord #1 lieferte. Früher, einfacher Hardcore, der auch heute noch frisch und unverbraucht klingt. Erstaunlich ist, wie schon diese früheste Form von Hardcore den tausenden Bands gleicht, die später kamen. Auf dem Beiblatt gibt’s dann nochmal alle Dischord-Cover im Mini-Format und coole Liner Notes von Ian und Jeff. Ein Stück Hardcore-Geschichte.
