A Cure tribute split EP; Avenging… add an aggressive edge to the classic “Lullabye”, interesting. Jam Session from Sweden try to update the Cure sound with a screamy singer - I wouldn’t call it a complete failure but the originals are so much better. The Cure prove to be a dangerous band to cover. [6]

Cure-Coverversionen sind nicht ungefährlich, wie man an der mißglückten Tribute-CD „Give me The Cure“ sehen kann. Auf 7“-Format geht das Ganze zumindest mal schneller vorbei; ganz überzeugend ist diese EP trotzdem nicht. Avenging… ist eine Art Screamo-Supergroup mit Mitgliedern von Usurp und Index of Potential Suicide; ihre Version von Lullaby ist ganz interessant; The Jam Session aus Schweden versuchen, den Cure-Sound mit Keyboard und Schreistimme ins neue Jahrtausend zu retten, funktioniert aber nicht so recht, vor allem weil der Sänger nicht sonderlich gut ist.
