Noisy, hectic and somewhat chaotic mid-tempo hardcore with (left-wing) political lyrics. And you can already hear a glimpse of Gary Floyd’s later, blues-influenced projects here. Overall, this is solid punk/hardcore, though (except for the last track which is basically an annoying 11-minute jam session). I’ve never been a big fan of the band, but they certainly did their own thing, and some of the songs are pretty good. [7]

Eine der wenigen US-Bands mit politischem Anspruch bezieht hier radikal Stellung gegen Rechte aller Art, ohne in’s Klischeehafte abzugleiten. Mittelschneller, hektischer Punk-Rock mit oft schleppenden, manchmal auch schrägen Parts. Die rauhe, heisere Stimme des Sängers hebt sie vollends von allen anderen Bands ab. Hammer und Sichel, die auf dem Cover recht verschämt versteckt wurden, dafür aber auf dem Beiblatt umso größer erscheinen, zeigen deutlich den politischen Standpunkt. (RN)
