Art punk in the vein of the previous 12”, in the same league as Mission of Burma or (melodic) Minutemen. They moved a bit further from punk again, but it’s still there in the structures and the guitars; although a lot of this is edgy, somewhat angular guitar rock they mostly find back to great catchy melodies/harmonies. If you’re into smart and highly original guitar music and need a break from 200mph hardcore blasts, you HAVE to check this out. [9]

Nicht gerade der gewöhnliche 0815-HC, die Band ist eher auf der experimentellen Seite angesiedelt; der spröde Gitarrenpop erinnert an Bands wie Mission of Burma oder an die eingängigeren Sachen von den Minutemen. Embarrassment verlieren sich allerdings nie in Spielereien oder nervender Avantgarde, immer wieder findet man zurück zu schönen und ungewöhnlichen Harmonien. Auch der musikalische Rahmen ist recht weit gesteckt, so richtig punkig wird’s nur bei wenigen Songs. Interessant und ungewöhnlich - gefällt mir sehr gut.
