While their second LP had a lot of grunge/70's influences and the third was basically a punk record, their debut album draws more on the 60s punk/garage sound. However, there is also a lot of punk in here, some Minneapolis/TwinTone influences, and the occasional trombone gives this an early Rocket from the Crypt feel. Good, powerful music, and some of the songs are genuinely catchy. Good one. [7]

Bevor sie ihre Grunge- (2.LP) und Punk-Phase (3.LP) hatten, waren The Fluid auf ihrer ersten LP auf dem 60's/Garage-Trip. Trotzdem ist hier auch noch viel Punkeinfluss zu spüren, dazu kommt ein Schuss Minnesota/TwinTone-Sound, und die Posaune, die hin und wieder zum Einsatz kommt, bringt noch ein bisschen Rocket-from-the-Crypt-Feeling ins Spiel. Gute Platte mit ein paar kleinen Hits.
