Two guys, guitars, harmonica and a drum computer? It's… They Might Be Giants! Er, no, it's the Goatmen. An upbeat, eclectic mix of musical styles (rock, RnR, punk, pop etc.), mostly catchy and tuneful. The TMBG influence is definitely there (these guys must have been big fans), but the Goatmen are a bit toned down and more serious - and not as good. Not really punk, and not really great, but a decent record nonetheless. Wonder how they wound up on Noiseville, of all labels… [6]

Was fällt einem zu zwei Typen ein, die mit Gitarren, Bass und einem Drumcomputer einen eklektischen Musikmix aus Rock, Pop und Punk produzieren? Nein, nicht They Might Be Giants, sondern die Goatmen, die mit dem gleichen Rezept ihr Glück versuchen. Alles ist etwas ernsthafter, weniger schräg und weniger gut als bei den Vorbildern, ansonsten aber eine ganz nette LP, nur eben kein Punk. Ich frage mich, wie sie bei diesem Label gelandet sind…
