Second LP by the reformed LA band, produced by Bill Stevenson (All) who injected some pop punk into their 60s pop. With a softer production this would have been a good 60s record, with a tougher production it would have been a good melodic punk album; well, they're right in the middle and it's no lame compromise, they include the best of both worlds, rough guitars and a tight production, but also beautiful and romantic beach harmonics and sunny melodies. Zweite LP nach dem Comeback der LA-Veteranen; produziert wurde das Ganze von All’s Bill Stevenson, der der Band einen schönen Pop/Punk/60s-Sound verpaßt. Es ist von allem was dabei, wäre die Produktion softer, wäre es eine schöne 60s-Scheibe, wären die Songs härter & einfacher, wäre es eine gute Melody-Punk-Platte. So liegt sie etwa in der Mitte & hat damit die besten Seiten beider Spielarten, schön rauhe Gitarren und knalligen Sound, gleichzeitig aber auch romantisch-schöne Beach-Harmonik und sonnige Melodien. Gut!!
