The Proletariat - soma holiday LP

  • radiobeat / non-u records. rb 001 / 18 tracks / 1983
  • Produced by Lou Giordano and J. Dufour at Radiobeat. + printed inner sleeve. “Voodoo Economics” CD on Taang (#127) compiles all their recorded output.
  • One of the few Boston bands that stayed true to their sound and didn't drift towards cheesy metal in the mid-80s; they were also more political than the other bands from their hometown. All the songs on their debut LP have the typical Proletariat sound - hard, rhythmic hardcore with a razor-sharp voice and some unusual guitar riffs. Sophisticated, interesting music that still remains rough and tight. [8]
Sehr gut.
  • Tracks: decorations / splendid wars / famine / embraced / events - repeat / another banner raised / hollow victory / condition / avoidance // pictures / bread and circus / blind / subsidized / torn curtain / purge / scars / decide on change / no lesser of evils
